Okay, first off, I must apologize to all who read the title of this post thinking it was going to be about six hundred twelve burritos. The 612 is not a quantity, but a label/adjective. We’re really only dealing with seven burritos here. Anyway.
So back in 2005, when I lived in Temecula, CA, there was this place I used to go to all time: Rosa’s Cafe & Tortilla Factory. And yes, it really was a tortilla factory, at least in the sense that there was an area in which you could stand and watch the cooks drop wads of dough into this machine and out would pop an uncooked tortilla which would proceed along a conveyor belt, spiraling downward around a column of fire, thus cooking the tortilla in a way that was also entertaining to watch.
But what I liked even better than watching the tortillas being made was eating them! And apparently I did so two days in a row, back in 2005, and was surprised to notice that I got the same order number, 612, on my receipt as the previous day. I probably thought “Huh, that’s interesting; I got 612 again.”

But then...it happened AGAIN again! Exactly one week later! And apparently I must’ve thought it was so crazy that I had to scan those receipts into my computer so I could document this forever.
So here I am, nearly six years later, finally blogging about it. I still don’t know what to make of it. I mean, I went at different times of day and everything, so the odds of this are probably pretty astronomical. I wouldn’t be surprised if Discovery Channel called me up and wanted to do a documentary about it.
So I guess all I have to do now is sit back and wait for those phone-calls to pour in. Oh wait, AND I’ll probably be hearing from that Rosa’s in Temecula about giving me a cut of their booming profits now that scientists will be flocking there to do all kinds of quantum-burrito-probability experiments! Oh man, why did I wait so long to blog about this??

or, maybe everyone is order 612!? ;) more research is necessary!

- I was unprecedentedly excited about this possibility.
"do all kinds of quantum-burrito-probability experiments!"
- Right away... To the the batcave!
